Madeira Fishing is HOT!

Not since the early 90’s has the number, size and variety of fish seen, ever been so good!

MADEIRA is just awesome this year! We have seen incredible numbers of fish being seen and caught (and released) by the local fleet with some absolutely ‘monster fish’ being caught by Katherine B (one estimated at 1350lbs) and Balancal (estimated at 1250lbs). Not only do we have these monsters present, but also theregular size ‘girls’ from 500 up to 900lbs. In addition we are seeing a lot more smaller fish (for Madeira) at 400lbs and less.

White Marlin, Atlantic Spearfish and ‘bull’ Dorados have all put in an appearance making specimen hunters fishing these waters delighted and returning home as happy anglers.

Whilst the waters surrounding the island are not known for producing vast quantities of marlin, they never disappoint in terms of size. If its the fish of lifetime you want, Madeira is one of the few spots in the world where you are likely to find it!
